“Let me know when you’re famous, Chris!”

Chris Clark was a mystery to himself as much as his friends. One time student dropout, he became a teacher tycoon in Abu Dhabi. His media work there took off, too, after he interviewed Brian Clough. Then he gave two fingers to a local dignitary and was lucky to keep them! Teaching back in Britain didn’t work out, and he found himself back on the streets of Cardiff where he grew up, sharpening knives with a wife and three kids to support.

He reinvented the carving knife, deconstructed the mystique of the carvery chef and surprised everyone, including himself, by establishing his own business fiefdom. Graphic cameos, beginning in the maternity ward where his mother disowned ‘that papoose’, bring it all back to life.
